Penn State Lehigh Valley has announced a new six-week dual enrollment program for rising high school seniors interested in earning college credit this summer. Students can choose from three areas of discovery — Health Care, Creative Arts and Digital Information — at a 50 percent tuition discount.

Classes will be taught by Penn State Lehigh Valley faculty and will be held from 9 a.m.-noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays June 28 - Aug. 4 at the campus in Center Valley. As an enhancement to the Discovery Series’ coursework and class time, interested students can meet with a Penn State Lehigh Valley Continuing Education representative to explore potential job shadowing opportunities in the field.

This new dual enrollment program gives students the opportunity to take the first step to a career in a high-demand field by choosing the course option that best fits their interests. The courses are designed to provide a sampler of the majors, giving students a unique opportunity to explore while completing college-level coursework and gaining highly transferable credits. The deadline to apply to the Discovery Series is June 17.
