UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State Smeal College of Business graduates have long been able to leverage the broadest university alumni network in the world. Now their post-graduation job searches will be enhanced by a partnership with a smaller, exclusive network.
Smeal’s Office of Alumni Career Services recently announced a partnership with GeniusMesh, an executive career advancement network that taps into the graduates of 23 universities in an exclusive network.
“This new job search resource is a dynamic tool for our more experienced alumni in their search for higher quality middle management and executive positions,” said Keleigh Asbury, director of Smeal’s alumni career services.
Penn State was asked to join other GeniusMesh institutions, including Carnegie Mellon, Columbia, Harvard, INSEAD, London Business School, Northwestern, and Princeton, among others.
According to market statistics, 90 percent of executive opportunities are hidden and never advertised. Experienced alumni don’t have a direct channel to explore those opportunities. GeniusMesh solves that problem.
Candidates choose the platform because they can confidentially find hidden jobs, and save time by connecting directly with decision makers. Corporations choose the GeniusMesh platform because they can post confidential positions, powerful algorithms save time and money, jobs aren’t posted elsewhere (it’s not an aggregator), and it provides direct access to active and passive candidates.
A sampling of positions available exclusively to GeniusMesh members includes:
- Vice president of product management
- Director of communications
- Senior sales executive
- Director of strategic marketing
- Data security architect
- Supply chain and operations data analyst
