UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — RSM US LLP, an audit, tax and consulting firm serving middle-market organizations, has become the latest organization to join the Penn State College of Information Sciences and Technology’s Corporate Associates Program. Headquartered in Chicago, the organization is the fifth-largest accounting firm in the country and employs more than 9,000 people in 90 U.S. cities.

"Penn State has long been a school where we’ve recruited accounting and business students," said Sudhir Kondisetty, risk advisory partner at RSM. "But as our technology practices have grown, we have found that the IST students have been critical to successfully growing our capabilities. Many IST students have joined RSM and have been highly successful. By expanding our relationship with the College of IST, we hope to continue our success."

RSM is one of 15 businesses active in the Corporate Associates Program, which provides opportunities for organizations to engage with IST students by funding college programs and student internships.

Associates connect with students through annual career fairs, invitations to professional development activities, and opportunities to bring real-life scenarios from their organizations into the curriculum. IST students benefit from associates' extensive technological expertise, mentoring sessions, facility tours, and networking events.

"The support of RSM means that our students will have new academic and professional opportunities that will prove invaluable as they begin their careers," said Brianne Lippert, assistant director for career solutions and corporate engagement in IST. "And RSM will get incredible access to IST students who can take on the challenging opportunities available across the company."
