UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Each year, the American Nuclear Society (ANS) sponsors scholarships for graduate and undergraduate students in nuclear engineering. The society's goal is to help students complete their post-high school education and prepare for careers in nuclear science and technology. This year six Penn State nuclear engineering students received scholarships.
Gregory Borza, a graduate student in nuclear engineering, received the ANS Pittsburgh Local Section Graduate Scholarship Award.
Alaina Bott, an undergraduate nuclear and mechanical engineering student; Jacob Krizmanich, an undergraduate nuclear engineering student; and Adrian Leandro, an undergraduate nuclear engineering student, received ANS Undergraduate Scholarship Awards.
Cordell Delzer, an undergraduate nuclear engineering student, received the ANS Pittsburgh Local Section Undergraduate Scholarship Award.
Rittu Raju, an undergraduate nuclear and mechanical engineering student, received the ANS John & Muriel Landis Scholarship Award.
The students were presented with their scholarships on Sept. 10 by Arthur Motta, professor and program chair of nuclear engineering.
