Smeal College fall career fairs to kick off Sept. 9

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State Smeal College of Business students will connect with potential employers starting on Tuesday, Sept. 9, in a series of targeted career fairs, including the Supply Chain Career Fair, the Corporate Associate Career Fair and the Penn State Marketing Association (PSMA) Marketing Career Fair.

Employers will seek students for internships, co-ops and full-time positions. All career events will take place in the Atrium of the Business Building on the University Park campus.

-- The three-day Supply Chain Career Fair will kick off the career events from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, for students seeking positions in the supply chain field. -- Meet the Firms, hosted by Beta Alpha Psi and the Accounting Society, will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, for students interested in accounting careers with small- to mid-sized accounting firms. -- The Corporate Associate Career Fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15, for students of all business majors, from first-year students through seniors. This career fair features companies who partner with Smeal, including Aldi, Altria, AT&T, Baker Tilly, CohnReznick, Deloitte, EY, Ferguson, Grant Thornton, Ingersoll Rand, Johnson & Johnson, Kohl’s, KPMG, Macy’s, PLS Logistics, PNC, PPG, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Shell Oil and UPMC.

-- The Risk Management Expo, featuring opportunities for students in Enterprise Risk Management and Real Estate, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15.

-- The Professional Management Association's Networking Expo will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16.

-- The Marketing Career Fair, sponsored by PSMA, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, for students interested in career and internship positions in the marketing field. -- The Corporate Control and Accounting Expo, hosted by the Department of Accounting, will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 18, beginning with a corporate recruiter panel in 217 Business Building to be followed by networking opportunities in the Business Building Atrium.

-- The Actuarial Science Career Fair, hosted by the Actuarial Science Club, will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 22.

The Smeal Career and Corporate Connections Office hosted a mock career fair on Sept. 3 to help students prepare for interactions with recruiters.

For the past several years, recruiters have ranked Smeal among the top business schools according to Bloomberg Businessweek.
