UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — A new Penn State student club is recruiting business students. The Nittany Consulting Group (NCG), founded by Smeal College of Business finance majors Chris Marthers and Noor Nahavandi, is a student group that will provide education on consulting careers as well as opportunities for professional experience.
“Consulting is an attractive career option because, as a consultant, you’re making fundamental changes from the start, solving problems that businesses aren’t able to solve on their own,” said Nahavandi.
Ryan Saba, an accounting major who joined the founders on the executive board this summer, added, “Consulting is an exciting field. You travel to a lot of new places and spend time thinking critically about problems and how to solve them.”
