UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Jiro Yosheda, associate professor of business in the Penn State Smeal College of Business, has accepted an invitation to become a research associate at Columbia Business School’s Center on Japanese Economy and Business (CJEB).
The CJEB invites outstanding, productive academic specialists on the Japanese economy and its business systems, predominantly in American universities, to five-year, renewable appointments as research associates.
Research associates are asked to submit professional papers for inclusion in CJEB’s Working Paper Series. They are also invited to all of the CJEB’s conferences and programs, which are held mainly at Columbia’s campus in New York City and in Tokyo.
“I was very honored and thrilled to become a research associate,” Yoshida said.
Yoshida holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tokyo, a master's degree from MIT, and a master's and a doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley.
