UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Five minutes in front of 500 people — one monumental opportunity to turn your innovative teaching and learning idea into a reality. All Penn State faculty and staff are invited to submit your idea in the Open Innovation Challenge (OIC) for a chance to present it at the 2019 Symposium for Teaching and Learning with Technology on March 16, at the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center.

Open the door to collaborative research and explore how out-of-the-box thinking can spark new tools that advance student learning and reimagine learning spaces in higher education. The deadline for submissions is Jan. 25.

The Symposium for Teaching and Learning with Technology’s 500 attendees will vote on ideas presented by selected innovators and the winning idea will be developed by a team of experts.

Four-time, New York Times bestselling author Dan Heath is this year’s keynote speaker and in his latest book, "The Power of Moments," he explains how we can learn to create defining moments in our life and work that can jolt, elevate, and change us.

Register for the Symposium for Teaching and Learning with Technology to learn more about how this annual event brings together people and ideas that transform education.
