UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.— Penn State’s Social Science Research Institute has announced a call for proposals for three grant programs.
The COVID-19 Pandemic Emergency Research Funding in Social and Behavioral Sciences RFP invites proposals to supplement ongoing, externally funded, interdisciplinary research projects to cover new research costs resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. These may include new costs arising from temporary halts to human subjects data collection, modifications to data collection protocols or intervention delivery, and the need to pilot alternative methods before these are integrated into an ongoing study. Proposals are due on Feb. 15.
The Call for Proposals on Implementation Science seeks to support projects aimed at identifying effective strategies for translating scientific discoveries into broad and sustained, real-world use — such as in the form of effective programs, policies, practices and products — toward the betterment of the human condition. The deadline for proposal submission is Feb. 15.
The Smart and Connected Health RRP will support projects that contribute to SSRI’s strategic smart and connected health aim and facilitate building a community of scholars in this domain of research. Smart and connected health includes mental and physical health promotion and disease prevention and treatment that build on innovative applications of technology for data collection and care/intervention delivery. The deadline to apply is March 5.
