UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Are you an undergraduate student who uses the University Libraries? Do you struggle to pay for your education? Consider applying for a University Libraries scholarship.
The University Libraries offers a number of awards annually to outstanding Penn State undergraduates who are considering pursuing a master’s degree in library and information science, are enrolled in the College of the Liberal Arts, or who were in foster care. These scholarships are intended to help with current school costs, and awards start at $500.
If you’ve never thought about a career in library and information science before, you may not be aware of the wide range of career paths that exist in this field, in the academic, business, or public realm. Library and information science professionals work in teaching and research, and have access to the latest technology in the field of information delivery.
The deadline for submission of the scholarship application is Friday, April 27. Descriptions of each award, application details and an application form are available online at http://tinyurl.com/librariesscholarships. For more information, contact Sandy Confer at 814-863-3665 or slb3@psu.edu.
