ERIE, Pa. — Recent rankings by U.S. News & World Report place the part-time MBA program at the Black School of Business at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, among the top 150 programs in the nation, at No. 146. The rankings appear in the 2019 U.S. News & World Report "Best Graduate Schools" guide, which was published in March.

The U.S. News Best Graduate School rankings are determined through peer assessment, analysis of GMAT and GRE scores and the work experience of students entering the MBA program. A total of 122 students were enrolled in the Black School of Business program during the U.S. News review period.

“Our national ranking by U.S. News & World Report affirms our students’ success in and beyond the classroom,” said Greg Filbeck, director of the Black School of Business. “It also reflects our commitment to making graduate degrees accessible to full-time working professionals and others who wish to continue their formal education, using flexible hybrid programs that feature both in-class and online components.”

The Black School of Business offers a 30-credit MBA in three formats: Full- or part-time study in Erie, or part-time study at the Regional Learning Alliance in Cranberry Township. All three sequences are delivered in a hybrid format of online and in-class instruction.

The Black School of Business is accredited by AACSB International, a designation that only 15 percent of colleges and universities worldwide have obtained. In addition to its rankings by U.S. News & World Report, the school is consistently ranked among the best in the country by the Princeton Review.
