UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State Global Programs is accepting nominations for the annual W. LaMarr Kopp Award. The awards are designed to recognize those at Penn State who make extraordinary contributions to the advancement of the international mission of the University.
Four awards are given annually in the categories of undergraduate student, graduate student, staff member and faculty member. Criteria for the awards include leadership and support for international education, service to the international community, and research with a significant international component. Each award carries a $1,000 cash award and a plaque. A nominee/applicant must be a full-time faculty member, staff member, or a student at Penn State.

Sophia McClennen, professor of International Affairs and Comparative Literature, School for International Affairs, was the 2015-16 faculty award winner and is chair of the 2016-17 awards selection committee.
