UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — This fall, Penn State’s faculty members will be offering their classes remotely, in-person, or as a hybrid of both — referred to as “COVID mixed (CM).” Remote and in-person classes are familiar to most, but CM courses will be new for all. What will they be like?
CM courses will take on a variety of forms, but all will include an in-person component. Examples include:
- Lectures delivered in person with rotating attendance and remote, synchronous learning for those students who are not in the lecture that day
- Lectures delivered remotely combined with in-person, small group work or problem-solving sessions
- Lectures delivered remotely combined with in-person, small group laboratory, field or performance sessions
