Open Pedagogy Workshop

  • Wednesday, March 22, 10–11 a.m. (Zoom)

Please register for either of the sessions above using the Open Pedagogy registration link.

This session will provide an introduction to open pedagogy, a reflective, high-impact practice that engages with students as creators of knowledge, rather than solely consumers of it, by leveraging situated, renewable assignments that emphasize collaboration, authentic audiences and student agency. It often relies upon or leads to the production of open educational resources (OER), allowing the products of student learning to have a wide-reaching impact. Attendees will explore examples of open pedagogy as well as best practices for using this approach to transform classroom teaching, re-envision student assignments and contribute learning products back into the larger ecosystem.
