2019 Penn State trustee election ballot positions announced

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Ballot positions for the 2019 election of trustees by alumni were determined on Feb. 28 by a drawing.

Ballots for the trustee election will be available to Penn State alumni beginning on April 10. Additionally, biographical information and position statements for each candidate will be available on March 15 on a “Meet the Candidates” page by visiting https://trustees.psu.edu.

All alumni who have already requested and received a ballot for the nomination phase of the election will automatically receive the election ballot. There is no need to request a ballot again. If you did not participate in the Nomination Phase and would like to receive the election ballot, you may request a ballot at https://trustees.psu.edu/2019election/index.html.

Ballot requests will be processed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Eastern), Monday through Friday. Please allow a 24-hour turnaround time for processing of this ballot request.

All online voting must be completed by the close of the election at 9 a.m. Eastern on May 2.

The names of the four candidates for three positions on the board to be elected by alumni, and the order in which they will appear on the ballot, are as follows (year of graduation and place of residence also are provided):

1. William F. Oldsey, ’76 Lib, Boalsburg, Pennsylvania

2. Barbara L. Doran, ’75 Lib, New York, New York

3. Edward “Ted” B. Brown III, ’68 Sci, State College, Pennsylvania

4. Jeffrey P. Ballou, ’90 Com, Washington, D.C.
