UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — On Veterans Day, Penn State President Eric J. Barron thanks past and current military members and highlights the 10-year anniversary of the University’s Military Appreciation Week, taking place from Nov. 11 to 20. This fall’s events celebrate the Pennsylvania National Guard.

As part of the University’s year-round commitment to service members, veterans and their families, Barron discusses volunteer support across campus and within the local community that helps make Military Appreciation Week possible. Today’s (Nov. 11) events feature an in-person and virtual Veterans Day Ceremony at 11:11 a.m. honoring the service and sacrifice of all who serve or have served in the U.S. armed forces, followed by a weeklong series of programming for Penn State and other community members.
