MONACA, Pa. — The candidate recently selected to take over as chancellor of Penn State Beaver on Feb. 1 will not be assuming that role as previously announced on Dec. 17, 2015, due to unforeseen personal circumstances.“We will resume our search for a new chancellor immediately, with the expectation that a new chancellor will be named by the end of the spring semester,” said Madlyn Hanes, vice president for the Commonwealth Campuses. “I am confident that the Beaver campus community will continue its stellar work as we proceed with the search and will assist in identifying an excellent leader.”
Carey McDougall, director of academic affairs at Beaver, has been tapped to assume the interim chancellor post beginning Feb. 1. Donna Kuga, who has been serving as interim chancellor, will continue in that capacity until her retirement at the end of the month.
