Board of Trustees alumni nomination phase opens Jan. 15 and runs through Feb. 25

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Alumni Trustee election process for the Penn State Board of Trustees will begin on Saturday, Jan. 15, when nomination ballots will be sent to all Penn State alumni who have a valid email address on file with the University. Nominations will be accepted through 5 p.m. Eastern time on Friday, Feb. 25.

Alumni who do not receive the nomination email must request a ballot by going to trustees.psu.edu/2022election/. Forms will be processed Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern time and may take 48 hours for processing. After submitting the request, alumni will receive a ballot link and credentials via email from psuelections@eballot.com.

Once eligibility has been authenticated, alumni will automatically receive the 2022 Board of Trustees nomination ballot. Undergraduate and graduate students who are currently enrolled at the University are not eligible to participate in the election.

Candidates who receive at least 250 nominations, meet the qualifications to be a trustee, and accept the nomination in writing, will have their names placed on the election ballot. The election ballot will be distributed to alumni via email beginning on Sunday, April 10, and the election will close at 9 a.m. Eastern time on Thursday, May 5. The three candidates receiving the highest number of votes will be elected to the board.
