UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The election process for trustees elected by alumni to the Penn State Board of Trustees starts on Monday, Jan. 15, when ballots to nominate candidates are automatically sent at 9 a.m. EST to alumni who have otherwise not opted out of Penn State communications to their email addresses on file with the University. Alumni also have the opportunity to access the ballot at PennStateVotes.com. Nominations will be accepted through Sunday, Feb. 25, at 5 p.m. EST.

If alumni do not receive the nomination ballot to their email address on file with Penn State, or cannot access the PennStateVotes.com weblink, they should check their spam or junk email folders. The ballot email will be sent from PennStateVotes@yeselections.com. Alumni are encouraged to whitelist or allow their internet service provider to receive emails from PennStateVotes@yeselections.com.

Candidates who receive at least 250 nominations, meet the qualifications to be a trustee, and accept the nomination in writing will have their names placed on the election ballot. The election ballot will be distributed to alumni via email and at the PennStateVotes.com weblink beginning on Wednesday, April 10. The election will close on Thursday, May 2, 9 a.m. EST. The three candidates receiving the highest number of votes will be elected to the Board of Trustees.
