UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — At its May meeting, the Penn State Board of Trustees approved a change to the 2016-17 board meeting calendar. The board will now convene at a retreat at University Park on Jan. 12-13, 2017.

In February 2016, the board approved the 2017 meeting dates as follows: 

• Jan. 12-13, 2017
• Feb. 23-24, 2017
• May 4-5, 2017
• July 20-21, 2017 — Penn State Harrisburg
• Sept. 14-15, 2017
• Nov. 9-10, 2017

At its May meeting, the board approved the use of the January 2017 meeting dates as an opportunity for professional development in a retreat setting. This approval does not prevent a public meeting of the board and/or its committees in January if necessary.  The trustees made a similar adjustment for 2016, opting for a trustee retreat in January and moving the previously scheduled March meeting to February. 

The Board of Trustees’ remaining meetings for 2016 are at University Park unless otherwise noted:

• July 21-22 — Penn State Wilkes-Barre
• Sept. 15-16
• Nov. 3-4
