Consol Energy has presented a gift of $25,000 to Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus, in support of the campus’ Mining Technology Associate Degree Program. The gift is part of Consol’s “Financial Aid to Education” initiative. The mining technology degree program at Fayette provides students the education they need to fast-track into supervisory positions in mining production and maintenance.
Recently, Consol Energy’s Michelle Pusateri, supervisor of workforce development and planning, presented the check to Interim Chancellor Francis Achampong and mining technology instructor Larry Hunchuck. Penn State Fayette mining technology students Frank Panepinto, Tom Schad and Craig Zamboldi also were present.
