UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — On April 20 at 2 p.m., Penn State President Neeli Bendapudi will host a virtual update at liveevents.psu.edu about progress and plans regarding diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) across the University.

Jennifer Hamer, special adviser for institutional equity and interim associate vice provost for Educational Equity, will join Bendapudi for a conversation about Hamer's eight-week process developing a University-wide DEIB inventory, and to highlight key findings, recommendations and next steps.

The live conversation will provide an opportunity for the Penn State community to hear from Bendapudi and Hamer following the University-wide assessment as a first step stemming from the special adviser’s work. Additional updates will continue to be shared with the Penn State community, which will include opportunities to ask questions and provide comments.

Advancing DEIB progress across Penn State is one of Bendapudi’s five central goals, and among recent efforts, the University has launched a new public DEIB dashboard that collects and tracks DEIB information from across the institution in one central location.

For those who are unable to view live, the conversation will be archived shortly after and available on liveevents.psu.edu.
