The senate also heard updates from University leadership, including a summary of health care benefit changes between March 2024 and April 2025, and an update to the Intellectual Property Policy 01 (IP01).

A special meeting was called by the chair for 1:30 p.m. May 12 for the senate to consider the proposed pass/fail grading policy, which has been a focus of legislative discussion during senate meetings this semester.
