First promotion and tenure workshop to be held Sept. 15

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Join the Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs in a workshop entitled "Administrator and Staff Engagement in the Tenure-line and Non-tenure-line Promotion Reviews Process" to be held from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Sept. 15 via Penn State’s Zoom platform.

As part of the Promotion and Tenure Workshop Series, this session is intended for administrators and staff who oversee the promotion and tenure process. It will cover any changes to promotion and tenure guidelines that are new for the academic year and is an opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the review process for tenure and non-tenure-line faculty, including review committee structure and the work they do, dossier materials, external reviewers, feedback to pre-tenured faculty, PTORP, activity insight, and any other aspect of the promotion and tenure process for tenure-line and non-tenure-line faculty.

There will be a short formal presentation during this session focused on recent changes to the promotion and/or tenure process, with most of the time dedicated to questions and answers.

More information about the Promotion and Tenure Workshop Series is available on the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs website.
