UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — A group of faculty experts will join Penn State President Eric Barron for his next webinar at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22, to discuss the University’s coronavirus testing and efforts to mitigate the spread of the virus.
Faculty and staff members are invited to view the conversation via Zoom at https://psu.zoom.us/j/99560449389. Registration is not required, and questions submitted by faculty and staff in advance through Google Forms will be compiled into key topic areas for discussion by the panelists.
The panel, moderated by Barron, will focus on community, trends and data that University leaders consider as they make operating, testing and mitigation decisions as Penn State responds to the coronavirus pandemic.
Joining Barron for the discussion will be:
- Cara Exten, assistant professor of nursing;
- Matt Ferrari, associate professor of biology; and
- Andrew Read, Evan Pugh Professor of Biology and Entomology, Eberly Professor of Biotechnology and director of the Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences.
The live session has a maximum of 500 concurrent participants and the session will be recorded for later viewing.
The webinar is part of continuing efforts by University leaders to share information and answer questions from the community throughout the pandemic, including through Penn State Today, virtual town halls and weekly faculty newsletters.
