      Penn State HR announces the 2021 holiday schedule

      The 2021 holidays are:

      New Year’s Day: Friday, Jan. 1

      Memorial Day: Monday, May 31

      Independence Day: Monday, July 5
      Labor Day: Monday, Sept. 6

      Thanksgiving: Thursday, Nov. 25 (The Friday after Thanksgiving is a Campus Closure day.)

      December Break: Dec. 23, 24, 25, 27, 28, 29

      For more information regarding holidays:

      • Staff: Refer to University Policy HR34: Employment Conditions for Staff Employees.
      • Union-represented employees: Refer to the holiday provisions in the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
      • Part-time employees with grandfathered HR05 eligibility: Refer to Grandfathered HR05 Eligibility.
