UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State Office of the Bursar is launching a redesigned billing and payment portal on April 28. The new portal aims to create a faster and more intuitive account management experience for students and families.
The new payment portal will be in place for the summer 2026 billing and includes an updated interface and navigation to simplify how to access and manage bill payments and financial information. The new system is supported by Flywire, a secure online payment platform the University has used for international payments since 2012.
After logging in to the student account in LionPATH, students can find a real-time overview of their accounts for tuition and billing. Students can also authorize additional users to view accounts and manage payments.
By expanding the partnership with Flywire to cover both domestic and international transactions, all students will have access to the same tools and processes for managing their accounts. That includes video walkthroughs of how to manage certain aspects of the student account.
Penn State will continue to accept the same payment methods, which include eCheck drawn from a U.S. bank account, credit cards, and Flywire International Payments. For technical assistance with the new portal, students and families can contact Flywire’s multilingual support team. For assistance with student account-related questions, students and families can contact the Office of the Bursar directly.
Additional information is available through the Bursar’s website New Billing Portal Updates page.
