Quality Advocates event focuses on implementation of Penn State’s strategic plan

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State's Office of Planning and Assessment will hold the next installment of its Quality Advocates series from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1. The session, to be held in Room 508 of Rider Building on the University Park campus, will spotlight the ongoing work to implement Penn State’s strategic plan for 2016-2020, titled “Our Commitment to Impact.” All interested faculty, staff, administrators, and students are invited to attend.

Penn State Executive Vice President and Provost Nicholas P. Jones will be the event’s featured speaker. As chair of the University Strategic Planning Council, Jones shepherded the development and completion of the University-wide plan, published in February 2016. He will deliver a formal presentation about the plan and its implementation and then allow ample time for audience questions and comments.

For more information and to register for this Quality Advocates session, call the Office of Planning and Assessment at (814) 863-8721 or email opa@psu.edu. Representatives of Penn State campuses interested in participating in this event via videoconference also should contact the Office of Planning and Assessment to make arrangements.

The Quality Advocates Network meets several times each semester to share ideas and examples of improvement and innovation. Sessions typically include a combination of presentation and discussion about Penn State initiatives related to planning, improvement, and assessment.
