UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Following the administration of the first Penn State Community Survey this past spring, a summary report, findings and public results dashboards are now available for the University community. As part of ongoing efforts to build inclusive, diverse and equitable campus communities, unit leaders and budget executives across Penn State’s units, colleges and campuses are asked to review the survey report and dashboards and create action plans for their areas that address gap areas and build on existing strengths. Action plans should be developed by the end of February 2021.

During this process, the Office of Educational Equity will provide guidance via equity consultants who can help answer questions, discuss programming ideas, make connections with other areas and groups, and more. In addition, a website is available for students and employees with a variety of helpful planning resources, including action plan FAQs and templates, articles and videos.

In February 2020, Penn State launched the University-wide survey as part of ongoing efforts to promote community, inclusion and diversity across campuses, and to support strategic planning priorities. All students, faculty and staff members at every campus location were invited to take the survey to share their feedback and experiences related to diversity, equity and inclusion in key thematic areas.

Questions about the dashboards or reports can be directed to Karen Vance, associate vice provost for institutional research, at ksv21@psu.edu. Inquiries about equity consultants or diversity, equity and inclusion can be directed to Sonia DeLuca Fernández, associate vice provost for educational equity, at szd197@psu.edu.
