UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs has announced the schedule for the 2022-23 Promotion and Tenure Workshop Series, which is designed to help faculty and those involved in the promotion and tenure process prepare for success. The series has expanded this year to include additional sessions for administrators and staff and for committee chairs and members, as well as tips on creating a teaching portfolio.
“Faculty success and career advancement are imperatives at Penn State,” said Ann Clements, assistant vice provost for faculty affairs – faculty development. “While many universities have a broad mandate of teaching, research or creative accomplishment, and service, most do not clearly state to faculty how to be successful. This workshop series provides Penn State faculty, and the administrators and staff who oversee the process, with information on a variety of topics to assist those who are working toward promotion.”
