Students invited to apply for student trustee, selection committee

Information session about the board and how to apply will be held on Jan. 26

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Full-time undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in becoming a member of Penn State’s Board of Trustees are asked to submit an application by Feb. 17.

The Board of Trustees is responsible for the governance and welfare of Penn State, and its membership includes a student member. The board approves the University budget, sets tuition rates and oversees the institution. 

Students who are interested in serving as an at-large member of the Student Trustee Selection Committee may submit an application by Feb. 3.

Janiyah Davis, a student in the College of the Liberal Arts and current student trustee, will host an information session at 6 p.m. on Jan. 26 in 102 HUB-Robeson Center on the University Park campus to discuss the student trustee position, an overview of the board and how it works, and how to apply to join Penn State's governing body. 

Students can also join the information session online via Zoom.
