There’s still time for employees to get their flu vaccine

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, peak flu season continues through the end of March, but flu activity can last until as late as May. There’s still time for employees to get a flu vaccine. University employees who participate in Penn State’s health care plans can obtain a flu vaccine any time at any network pharmacy or at their primary care physician’s office using their insurance card (no registration or voucher needed) with no copay.

For all other employees (part-time, non-benefit-eligible or not participating in the Penn State health care plan), you should request a flu shot voucher from Health Advocate to obtain a flu shot with no copay. These vouchers are valid at CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, Rite Aid and Safeway pharmacies where available.

Log-in or, for first time users, register and download a voucher at HealthAdvocate.com/PSU or call 800-970-1263 to have one mailed to you. These vouchers are only available until the end of March 2021.
