HERSHEY, Pa. -- During its regularly scheduled meeting in Hershey, Pennsylvania, Penn State's Board of Trustees took action on a number of items on Feb. 26.
The board:
- Heard a report from Penn State Provost Nick Jones on shared governance;
- Heard a report on the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and College of Medicine;
- Approved the renovation of the Kostos Building at Penn State Hazleton;
- Reappointed directors of Penn State Health;
- Approved a digital media minor;
- Approved a new major in data sciences; and
- Heard remarks from President Eric Barron on the potential impact of the state's budget impasse on Agricultural Research and Cooperative Extension.
