USAC to host community engagement meetings throughout commonwealth

The University Staff Advisory Council (USAC), through its Outreach and Engagement Committee, will host several meetings this academic year as part of its community engagement series, in which the council will visit several Commonwealth Campuses.

The purpose of these visits is for USAC to meet with local staff advisory council members and engage with them beyond USAC’s annual summit. USAC members aim to gain a greater understanding of the Commonwealth Campuses and to hear from campus staff about their successes and challenges. Staff at campus locations that do not currently have a staff advisory council but are still interested in engaging with USAC are also welcome to attend.

USAC’s first travel meeting will take place on Oct. 20 at Penn State Hazelton campus. USAC invites staff advisory council members from the Penn State Hazleton, Scranton, Wilkes Barre, Schuylkill, Lehigh Valley, Berks, Brandywine and Abington campuses to join from 10:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. in Room 115 of the Evelyn Graham Academic Building on the Penn State Hazleton campus. A working lunch will be provided. Staff members who plan to attend are asked to register online. Questions, including related to any needs for assistance with travel arrangements, can be directed to askusac@psu.edu

Future travel meetings will include the central region of the commonwealth, including Penn State York, Hershey, Harrisburg and Mont Alto, on May 18. USAC will also host a meeting for campuses in the western region of the commonwealth, including Penn State New Kensington, Behrend, Beaver, Greater Allegheny, DuBois, Altoona and Fayette, on June 15. More details about locations and meeting agendas will be forthcoming.
