Instructors will teach participants how to follow a heart-healthy eating style. The webinar will focus on the Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension, also known as the DASH eating plan. Organizers explained that this diet is balanced, flavorful, flexible and requires no special foods.
The webinar will cover:
-
Techniques to enjoy a delicious heart-healthy diet and experience good health.
-
The fundamentals of the DASH eating plan.
-
Daily and weekly eating plan goals outlining which foods to eat more or less often.
-
Expert tips with demonstrations and sharing of DASH recipes rich in whole grains, fruits and vegetables.
Participants must register by noon Oct. 9. The registration fee is $10, but members of the public can use the code DASHDIET5 to pay $5. Penn State faculty, staff and retirees receive an automatic discounted rate of $5.
Registrants will receive a link to the recorded webinar within 10 business days after the live event. The recording will be available for six months from the event date.
