Ivyside Pride: 'Night and Dreams'
7:30 PM - 9:30 PM / November 30, 2023
Penn State Altoona’s Ivyside Pride vocal ensemble will offer its fall performance, “Night and Dreams,” at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, in the Wolf Kuhn Theatre of the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts. Both performances are free and open to the public.
The concert features music inspired by the themes of night, dreams and hope. It includes holiday-inspired selections, along with pieces from classical, musical theater and contemporary genres.
Ivyside Pride is directed by Bonnie Cutsforth-Huber, professor of music at Penn State Altoona. The group has performed both nationally and internationally, including at Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Strasbourg Cathedral, and St. Stephen’s Cathedral in Vienna, Austria. In March 2023, the choir will return to Carnegie Hall to perform Ola Gjeilo’s “Sunrise Mass” with the Masterworks Festival Chorus and New York City Chamber Orchestra.
This performance is free and open to the public through support of the Kjell Meling Arts for All Initiative. For further information, call 814-949-5452.
