ALTOONA, Pa. — Penn State Altoona’s Spotlight on Teaching and Research (STAR) lecture series continues with a presentation by Assistant Professor of Biology Sarah Allen and biology student Haley Hatch.

The pair will present a talk on their research "Unearthing the Field of Paleobotany: A Fossil Wood Case Study from the Cretaceous of Colorado" at 12:05 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, in the Fireside Lounge of Slep Student Center.

The STAR series spotlights how faculty research influences teaching and vice versa. The series is sponsored by Penn State Altoona's Office of Academic Affairs and Student Pathways to Undergraduate Research. This event is free and open to the public.
