NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. — The Penn State Altoona men’s basketball team was voted first in the 2022 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Preseason Coaches’ Poll, and guard/forward Andruw Harman of Chesapeake, Virginia, was selected the conference’s Preseason Player of the Year, as the league announced its preseason poll results on Wednesday, Nov. 2.
Penn State Altoona, which was the co-regular season AMCC champion last year with a 13-3 conference record, was predicted to finish in first place this winter by league coaches. It marks the first time in men’s basketball program history that the Lions have been voted into first place in an AMCC preseason poll.
La Roche University took second place in the poll, while Penn State Behrend was picked to finish in third. Hilbert College and Pitt-Greensburg tied for fourth place.
