ALTOONA, Pa. — Students at all Penn State locations are encouraged to apply now for the Penn State CHANCE program. The program combines study abroad with undergraduate research in environmental sustainability. Through the program, Penn State faculty, staff and students will conduct a field practicum in Romania on the Danube Delta in summer 2022.

Students will have the opportunity to protect Romania's biodiversity while learning to apply scientific skills to real-world challenges. They will experience field research, data analysis, and mentor and peer-building relationships across cultures.

More information is available on the CHANCE website. Applications are due by Feb. 1.
