Galleries feature work of artist/teacher Harriet Rosenberg

The Eye of the Beholder, an exhibit featuring works from the collection of artist and teacher Harriet Rosenberg of Boalsburg, Pa., opened in the Sheetz and McLanahan Galleries of the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts. Sponsored by the Altoona campus' Division of Arts and Humanities, the exhibit will run through Saturday, Aug. 5.

Rosenberg is a visual artist and a part-time lecturer in visual arts at Penn State Altoona. Her work incorporates primitive and mythic imagery in paper cutting and frequently explores the relationship between art, culture and history. Rosenberg serves as a residency artist for the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and has exhibited and taught throughout the commonwealth. Her eclectic collection of art features works ranging from paintings to Inuit craft.

The Sheetz and McLanahan Galleries are located in the Titelman Study of the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts at Penn State Altoona. The galleries are open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and before and during all performances. For more information, call (814) 949-5452.
