Kids' College 2016 is just around the corner

ALTOONA, Pa. — There is still time to sign up for Penn State Altoona's Kids' College summer camps. A variety of camp themes allow children to cultivate their interest in a particular area or explore new territory.

Kindergarten through first grade camps include Time Travel, Digging into Dinosaurs and You Be the Scientist. Time Travel is also available for grades two through four, and there are ceramics camps for kindergarten through ninth grade.

There is Dental Assistant camp for grades six through nine, along with Railroad Engineering camp, where students will delve into wheels, tracks and train dynamics.

Bytes and Beats, Girls Minecraft and Girls Robot Invention are camps designed specifically for girls in grades six through nine. Penn State Altoona received a $2,500 gift commitment from the PS Solutions Foundation to fund 20 need-based scholarships for girls attending these technology camps.
