ALTOONA, Pa. — Penn State Altoona hosted its fourth annual International Conference on Empirical Economics on Aug. 1 and 2, featuring both online and in-person sessions.

Zoom sessions took place Saturday, Aug. 1, with a keynote by David Gill from Purdue University, who presented “Dynamic Investment and Coordination in Teams: Theory and Experimental Evidence.”

In-person sessions were on Sunday, Aug. 3, at the Sheraton Pittsburgh Hotel at Station Square.

This year’s program included 186 selected submissions from 212 distinguished scholars affiliated with institutions around the world, which ensured a multifaceted exploration of economic issues.

The goal of the conference is to provide participants with a platform to share their research, engage in discussions and foster collaborations with fellow researchers.
