ALTOONA, Pa. — Penn State Altoona is offering an open call for artwork to regional college students for the exhibition “Local Mythos” until Jan. 5. This exhibition will run Feb. 15 through March 21. Application information is available online.

“Local Mythos” is a juried exhibition — meaning the selection process is competitive — organized by Penn State Altoona students currently enrolled in "Art 365" and "Art 496." “Local Mythos” will explore the rich tapestry of stories, legends, myths and cultural narratives that define local communities, personal histories, identity and shared universal truths. The exhibition invites artists to delve deep into the lore of their hometowns, regions or cultural heritage to bring forth works that evoke, reinterpret, challenge, and celebrate these stories.

The galleries are open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For further information, call the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts at 814-949-5452.
