ALTOONA, Pa. — Penn State Altoona’s Center for Student and Civic Engagement is partnering with other offices and organizations to offer a series of virtual engagement events throughout the spring semester. Students are encouraged to participate and connect online. Share your thoughts and experiences on your social channels (#PSAltoonaConnect).
All prize winners must be Penn State Altoona students and have a valid Penn State ID number.

Monday, April 6 — Instagram Photo Contest: Nature photos
Take a stroll in your yard or snap a photo of a houseplant. All students who share a photo (#PSAltoonaConnect) and follow back studentlifepsaltoona will be entered into a drawing for a $25 online gift card. Sponsored by Power Hours and the Student Initiated Fee.
Tuesday, April 7 — Instagram Taskmaster Challenge
Make a meal with ingredients that start with all 26 letters of the alphabet, and then share a photo. All students who share a photo (#PSAltoonaConnect) and follow back @studentlifepsaltoona will be entered into a drawing for a $50 online gift card. Sponsored by Penn State Altoona Power Hours.
Tuesday, April 7 at noon — Zoom: Virtual Aquarium
Join us on a Zoom chat and select from one of several aquariums to tour. When you come across something awesome, share your screen or mention it (#PSAltoonaConnect).
Wednesday, April 8 — Poetry Reading and Challenge
Celebrate the arts this week by listening to the poem “If” by Rudyard Kipling then share a poem you've written. It can be something you wrote a long time ago or something you just wrote today. Or even add a new verse to “If” by Kipling. All students who share a poem (#PSAltoonaConnect) and follow back @studentlifepsaltoona will be eligible to win a $50 online gift card. Wednesday, April 8 at 9 p.m. — Game Night: Jackbox Civic Doodles

Thursday, April 9 at noon —Interactive Magician Trent James
Trent James is one of the most sought-after magicians in the college market. Join us on Zoom to see Trent perform a show of sleight-of-hand magic tricks and illusions. He’ll teach the viewers how to perform some magic with items available in their room or house.

Friday, April 10 at 9 p.m. — Super Smash Brothers Ultimate Competition
Join the Campus Activities Board and D6 Gaming Club for a game night on Twitch. There will be multiple rounds of Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, the popular crossover fighting game. Winners will be able to win online gift cards.
