“All members of Alumni Council represent ‘The symbol of our best,’” Penn State Alumni Association President Randy Houston, 1991, said. “Though 10 new members are elected each year by our membership, our bylaws provide for the appointment of an additional 10 alumni members, enabling us to further our commitment to broaden the spectrum of alumni represented on Alumni Council, especially in terms of age, gender, geography, academic college affiliation, and racial and ethnic background.  We are proud to welcome these appointed members to Alumni Council, this and every year.”

These appointed members will join the 10 Penn Staters elected to Alumni Council in May (alumni are listed in order of vote totals): Karen E. Keller, Trisha Fehlinger Mikita, Tracey D. Baker, Susan Robinson, Scott Shirley, James M. “Jay” Weitzel Jr., Katie Dunn, Leila Farzam, U. Grant Crampton IV, and Kelsey Karpinski.

Each of these alumni will serve a three-year term from July 1, 2020, to June 30, 2023. For full information on Alumni Council, visit the Alumni Association’s website.
