UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Alumni Association is hosting the premier pregame event at away football games featuring the Penn State cheerleaders, Nittany Lion, and special guests. There is no cost to attend, though registration is required. As a benefit of membership, Alumni Association members who attend will receive a commemorative lanyard with this year’s football schedule and roster.
Register now for Indiana, (Nov. 5) and Rutgers (Nov. 19). More than 2,000 Penn Staters attended the Roar Tour at Auburn, and the highlights are available on the Alumni Association's Facebook page.
Those who can’t attend in person are encouraged to follow the Alumni Association on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for on-site coverage throughout the season.
Away game mixers
The night before away games, the Alumni Association partners with a local alumni chapter to welcome alumni and fans for an evening of Penn State camaraderie. Often, the night features performances from the Penn State cheerleaders, Nittany Lion, and Pep Band — comprised of members of the Blue Band. Having the band and cheerleaders on-site is always a highlight for local and traveling alumni and fans, with the Alumni Association funding the travel expenses for the Pep Band.
Registration is still open for the event at Indiana (Nov. 4) with information to be determined for Rutgers (Nov. 18). The alumni mixers at Auburn and Michigan both sold out/hit capacity, so Penn Staters are encouraged to sign up early.

With more than 120 alumni chapters across the country and beyond, there’s always a group of Penn Staters ready to add you to their cheering squad. Alumni Association membership now includes access to all chapters, without additional fees or chapter dues. See the list of active chapters.
