UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — A cherished collaboration between the Penn State Alumni Association and the College of Arts and Architecture will return on Thursday, April 3, when Penn State's annual President's Concert and Reception comes to Philadelphia. Alumni and music enthusiasts alike are invited to experience the exceptional talents of the School of Music's students.
The evening will commence with a special reception at 6 p.m. at the historic Stotesbury Mansion, providing attendees with a unique opportunity to connect and enjoy hors d’oeuvres and beverage options. The concert itself will be held at The Church of the Holy Trinity and will feature performances by student groups. It is set to begin at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are available now. The $50 ticket price is discounted to $35 for current Penn State Alumni Association members. Attendees who register as new Alumni Association members at a 50% discount ($25 for 12 months of membership) also receive the discounted event ticket rate.
The concert — dubbed "Baroque, Brass, and Song" — will feature performances by three student groups: the Early Music Ensemble, Opera Theatre, and Brass Ensemble.
With a rich history spanning nearly two decades, the President's Concert has become a celebrated tradition of highlighting student musical talent. The event has previously graced stages in prominent locations like New York City; Washington, D.C.; Philadelphia; Harrisburg; Pittsburgh and York. This prestigious event enjoys support from across the University, including the Office of the President, the Penn State Alumni Association, the College of Arts & Architecture, and the Penn State School of Music. Penn State President Neeli Bendapudi will be in attendance, along with College of Arts & Architecture Dean B. Stephen Carpenter II, plus other special guests.
The President’s Concert is supported by the Randolph B. Houston, Jr. and Dr. Kori Jennings Houston Family President's Concert Endowment for the Penn State Alumni Association.
