Football Letter Live

Hosted by Alumni Association CEO Paul Clifford and Football Letter Editor John Patishnock Jr., Football Letter Live offers exclusive interviews with volunteer leaders and lettermen who speak to the power of Penn State. Viewers will learn how alumni chapters connect Penn Staters and how they can get involved.

Viewers will hear from former players and see how they continue to embody “Success With Honor,” oftentimes through giving back to their local communities. Each episode also will provide plenty of video coverage and share how the Alumni Association and its members help to support Penn State Athletics and University partners. Register for this season’s episodes, which will air at 7 p.m. Thursdays beginning Aug. 25.

Roar Tour

The Alumni Association is hosting the premier pregame event at away football games featuring the Penn State cheerleaders, Nittany Lion and special guests. There is no cost to attend, although registration is required. As a benefit of membership, Alumni Association members who attend will receive a commemorative lanyard with this year’s football schedule and roster. Sign up today for this year’s Roar Tour at Auburn (Sept. 17), Michigan (Oct. 15), Indiana (Nov. 5), and Rutgers (Nov. 19), and make plans to join Penn Staters on the road this season.

Follow the Alumni Association on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for on-site coverage throughout the season.

Away game mixers

The night before away games, the Alumni Association partners with a local alumni chapter to welcome alumni and fans for an evening of Penn State camaraderie. Often, the night features performances from the Penn State cheerleaders, Nittany Lion and Pep Band — comprised of members of the Blue Band. Having the band and cheerleaders on-site is always a highlight for local and traveling alumni and fans, with the Alumni Association funding the travel expenses for the Pep Band. Information on these events also will be listed at alumni.psu.edu/gameday.

Alumni chapter watch parties

With more than 120 alumni chapters across the country and beyond, there’s always a group of Penn Staters ready to add to their cheering squad on game days. Alumni Association membership now includes access to all chapters, without additional fees or chapter dues. See the list of active chapters. Many chapter listings have links for the chapter’s website, social media pages, and contact information.
