UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Alumni leaders power the Penn State alumni network, and the Penn State Alumni Association will celebrate their inspiring efforts from 6-7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, during the 2022 Volunteer Awards. The Alumni Association will recognize four individual honorees, made possible by generous endowments from alumni, and nine group recipients.

Penn Staters are invited and encouraged to RSVP for the virtual livestream, when they will be able to watch the honorees receive their awards and learn more about how they give back to their communities and help power the alumni network. In-person attendance is by invitation only.

There are nearly 300 affiliate groups comprised of dedicated volunteers, and these groups unite Penn Staters through shared interests, academic colleges, campuses and geographic regions.

The Alumni Association shifted its membership model earlier this year, and members now have access to the entire affiliate group network — including chapters — at no additional cost or action required. Member support helps make this possible, with the Alumni Association providing guidance to these groups that unite Penn State across the country and all over the globe.

Find a group that matches your affiliation to Penn State at alumni.psu.edu/groups. More information is available on the Alumni Association’s website for group Volunteer Awards and individual Volunteer Awards.
