Beekeeping, paint night, news literacy discussion headline 'PSAA Presents'

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Alumni Association hosts online events as varied as Penn State's alumni, who have many opportunities to connect with each other and with their alma mater.

"PSAA Presents" — the Alumni Association's home for all events, in-person and online — aims to inspire Penn Staters while also offering real-world advice that alumni and friends can use in their personal and professional lives. Hear from Penn State experts, connect with fellow alumni, learn a new tip, make a new connection and more. Many events are free or have reduced fees for Alumni Association members.

Here is a brief list of upcoming events, with a full list available on the Alumni Association's website

"Bees Make More Than Just Honey" — Tuesday, May 23, 7-8 p.m.

Learn the ins and outs of bee keeping with the help of Robyn Underwood, assistant research professor at Penn State.

"Learning to Choose News Over Noise: Penn State’s News Literacy Initiative" — Tuesday, June 13, noon-1 p.m.

Learn how Penn State’s News Literacy Initiative aims to help, teaching students and citizens strategies for telling the difference between reliable public interest journalism and the noise that often overwhelms and divides us.

Paint Night — Thursday, June 15, 7-8 p.m.

Artist and Penn State graduate Jackie Gianico will host the Alumni Association's sixth virtual paint night, and everyone is invited, from beginners to experts.
